The structured settlements that were awarded to both of my sisters have really not helped with their bills. They both wish that they could just have all of the money, and then they could buy a house and possibly a new car. They currently share a three bedroom apartment and they also share the same car that they did back in high school. Sometimes the car starts, and sometimes it does not.
I read online that you could sell structured settlement payments and then not have to deal with not having the money anymore. There were several things to remember though, when looking for a company to help you and the one that really stuck out, was that it takes at least seventy days to complete everything and there is really no way around that. If a company were to tell you that, then they are apparently lying, according to the more reputable companies that have been doing this for years.
The plan is to have both of them receive every bit of the structured settlements and move on with their lives separately. They love each other but the fact that they have been living together, is weighing on their relationship and if they can sell structured settlement payments, then they will be back on the road to being just sisters, and not housemates.
