Start it Right

My college friends and I love music.  Each of us has our own gadget that keeps us stay on track and updated with the latest and newest music.  When we graduated from college we come up with an idea of not to work yet but to start a small business related to our interest - MUSIC.

Our business is one of a kind.  We establish a music shop where people can have the latest and newest songs even before they are out in the market and in a very affordable price - through the web.  Since we are accessing the web we decided to use one of the best when it comes to hosting server - IBM xSeries Servers.

We set up an appointment with their Sales Personnel and were provided with an IBM xSeries Server that suit our need.  A tower server that was a great space saver and could be upgraded to host more if the need arose.

Used xSeries servers were also given to us an option.  However, we prefer to have a new server though we knew that the used and refurbished servers that they sold were one of the best too.

Our business is going smoothly up until now.  In fact, we are planning to branch out in another state next month.

Bonding Moment

It was my rest day and my daughter and I were planning to have a dry picnic in the park.  Aside from going to the mall to let her play in the gaming zone we also watched movies or just stay at home doing nothing.  This we have done for quite some time now it had been a routine.

Suddenly, the rain came so hard we were caught by surprise.  Now what will we do?  I tried cajoling my daughter that we should watch a movie while waiting for the rain to stop.  She hesitatingly did that.  I got bored myself.  The rain did not have an inclination to stop.  While I was browsing in the web, I came across this shop that sells funny t shirts.  I grabbed my purse and told my daughter to get in the car. She had no idea though since I wanted to surprise her.

Once we were inside the store, we were so amazed of the wide array of t shirts that they offer.  What my daughter loved was the idea that we can customize our own designs.  The prices were affordable and reasonable as well.  We really had a good time we decided of bringing her father on my next day off.

Mr Know it All

My best friend and I usually talk about the latest releases of different types of gadgets and desktops. One day we talked about this particular brand, he said that they offered Used pSeries Servers , I don’t have any idea what he’s talking about. He then explained to me the benefits of owning one. How they offer high quality parts and maintenance for every unit that they sell. That perked out my curiosity to a notch, before I knew it I was completely in his pace.

Listening to the details of different IBM  pSeries, motherboards, processors, memory (you know the “usual stuff” about computers). After our talk I went to check it out for myself. It was exactly how he described it. Different PC’s and a lot of computer paraphernalia’s were listed on their site. If ever I would buy a new unit for myself, I would definitely try one of their products. Their maintenance and warranty is good, that much I can tell. I had heard their company name a few times before, and it is one of the top companies out there today.

With a name and reputation like that, how could I get wrong right?

No to Depreciation

My Chinese great grandfather taught me one good lesson before he died - Invest in Gold. He told me the story of a time in China when money was not as valuable, he depended on selling his gold and this fed his entire family, my father included.

I kept this lesson to heart and when I was old enough, with a stable job, invested in gold myself. I did not take the advice seriously though, I tell you, I just did it so I can tell him and my father that I did. Little did I know that there will truly come a time that I will need to actually sell gold.

Struck by the financial crisis in 2007, I found myself jobless and with a very low self-esteem. I tried to search for a new job for three full months before I gave up and almost gave up on my entire life. I remembered the gold I invested in late 1990s and found online companies that could allow me to sell gold. Luckily I easily found one where people can also sell diamonds and sell old jewelry. They were buying at a good price as well so it was definitely a breather.

I am running my own business now, thanks to the advice of my late great grandfather and to a company who is stable enough to buy my gold.

Big Names

What does local and international SMBs, Fortune 500 Companies, State and Federal Government Agencies, K-12 School Districts, Colleges and Universities all have in common? They’re all supported with the systems and maintenance from the gadgets at this Used IBM store I buy stuff from. This is the best place to find all your server needs; from smaller components and parts, up to servers and large storage for systems. They provide rare replacement parts, sometimes those which are not manufactured anymore.

This store is also famous for reselling Used IBM servers as well. These servers are refurbished and maintained so that they could serve other clients who are not able to afford first hand IBM products, or who just wanted to try out having their own servers without the big expense. Rest assured that these servers are renewed to work in their best condition just like they were used from the first time.

Reliability is one of the foundations that kept this company strong for two decades now. Many private and public sectors trust this store for their IT needs. They also cater any type of business to give the most quality of what they pay for. From storage to systems, to components to networking, you name it; they have it all available for you!

Science adventure

Our school went on a trip to a science museum. Trips are always something to look forward to. But, a science trip? I don’t think so. Science has never been my kind of subject. It seems informative and gives answers to how things came to be especially in our existence but to me it just seems impractical at all. I have never been fond of science so I don’t really know if I should be excited about this trip or not. Anyway, I think there is a lot of reason for me to enjoy it. One thing is that I don’t have to be in the classroom and another is the time I could have to fool around with friends while on the trip.

When we got there I was mesmerized. I have to admit but I can say that I was never right all along. That place was so cool and it made science interesting. It changed my point of view in science. One thing I saw is this sample of waveguide transitions which the instructor said was from an engineering company. They were specifically rectangular waveguide transitions which guide waves . Now I should say science is not bad at all as I always thought it was.
